Output
Returns a list of up to 50 posts (default 20) from Bluesky and/or Hacker News, each containing the post URL, author handle or username, publication timestamp, full post text, like/upvote count, points (for HN), and reply count. Results are filtered to match the query keywords and optionally constrained to a time window.

Use this endpoint when you need recent public posts specifically from Bluesky or Hacker News (not X/Twitter or Reddit). It is ideal for monitoring developer community discussion, tracking open-source project sentiment, or researching how a tech topic is trending across these two platforms. Prefer this over general web search when you need structured post metadata (author, timestamp, engagement metrics) from these specific communities.
Side effects
- Query string too long (over 200 characters) returns validation error
- No results found for obscure or very recent topics returns empty list
- Invalid 'since' format (non-ISO 8601, unrecognized window) returns 400 error
- Requesting more than 50 results is clamped to the maximum of 50
- Invalid source name (e.g. 'twitter') returns validation error
- Network or upstream platform downtime may cause partial or empty results
