Unicode Character Inspector

Choose this endpoint when you need authoritative Unicode metadata — official character names, categories, properties, or block information — for a specific character or code point. It accepts both the raw character and multiple code point formats (U+XXXX, hex, decimal), making it flexible for different input sources. Prefer this over general-purpose text APIs when the specific Unicode standard properties of a character are what matter.

• Invalid or non-existent code point returns an error
• Providing both 'char' and 'codepoint' simultaneously may cause a validation error
• Malformed code point format (e.g. wrong prefix or out-of-range value) returns a parsing error
• Empty or multi-character input to 'char' field may be rejected
• Missing both 'char' and 'codepoint' returns a required field validation error
