How this service works
Check DNS propagation of a record across 8 public resolvers worldwide (Google, Cloudflare, Quad9, OpenDNS, AdGuard...): each answer and TTL and whether they all agree. Use after changing DNS.
Output
Returns a per-resolver breakdown for the queried domain and record type, including each resolver's name, IP address, the returned DNS response values (e.g. IP addresses), TTL remaining, and a top-level 'propagated' boolean plus 'distinct_responses' count indicating how many unique answers were seen across resolvers.

Use this endpoint when you need to check whether a DNS record change has propagated to multiple well-known global resolvers simultaneously. It is ideal for post-deployment verification, diagnosing split-brain DNS issues, or confirming that a newly configured record (A, MX, TXT, etc.) is live worldwide. Prefer this over a simple DNS lookup when you need multi-resolver comparison rather than a single resolver's answer.
Side effects
- Invalid domain format returns an error
- Unsupported record type outside allowed enum fails validation
- Domain does not exist returns NXDOMAIN or empty responses from resolvers
- Network timeout reaching a specific resolver may result in null response for that resolver
- Malformed request body (missing 'domain' field) returns a schema validation error
