Use this endpoint when you need on-chain, real-time DEX flow intelligence for a specific Base token — especially to detect accumulation, distribution, or unusual liquidity movements across multiple pools. Prefer it over generic price APIs when directional flow (bought vs sold) and reserve-level granularity matter. Unlike Arkham or Nansen (which require API keys and subscriptions), this endpoint requires only a $0.10 USDC x402 micropayment per call with no signup.
Side effects
- Invalid or non-existent token address returns empty pool array or error
- hours parameter out of range (less than 1 or greater than 24) returns validation error
- Token with no DEX liquidity on Base returns pools array with no entries
- Payment not settled — x402 402 response returned if USDC payment fails
- Network latency on Base RPC may cause slow or incomplete pool snapshots
