Side effects
- Invalid or malformed address returns an error or empty hop array
- Hop depth outside 1–3 is rejected by schema validation
- Very recent blocks may not yet be indexed, returning incomplete hop data
- Addresses with no USDC/WETH transfers return empty transfer arrays
- Payment not settled in USDC results in 402 response before any trace is run
