Use this endpoint when you need historical, realized funding rate data for a specific USDT perpetual futures symbol — not a forecast, but what carry has actually occurred. Prefer this over live funding rate endpoints when analyzing trends, computing average carry, evaluating long/short bias over time, or building carry trade strategies. It covers any USDT perp symbol with configurable depth up to 200 intervals.
Side effects
- Missing or invalid symbol returns an error — symbol must be a valid USDT perp format like SOLUSDT
- Limit out of range (below 1 or above 200) may return an error or default to 30
- Symbol with no recorded funding history may return an empty history array
- Payment failure (HTTP 402) if USDC payment via x402 protocol is not completed
- Upstream data source unavailability may result in stale or incomplete history
