Use this endpoint as the first step before making any Resy restaurant bookings via the Agentic Reservations platform. It is required whenever the agent does not yet have a valid Resy session token, or when a prior session has expired. Prefer this over manual browser-based Resy login flows when building fully automated dining reservation pipelines for AI agents.
Side effects
- Invalid or expired OTP code — returns an error requiring a fresh code request
- Email address not associated with any Resy account — returns a not-found error
- OTP request rate limit exceeded — returns a 429 or similar throttle error
- Malformed email format — returns a validation error
- Payment not fulfilled (x402) — returns a 402 Payment Required before processing
