Use this endpoint when you need to change the human-readable display name of an existing AgentMail inbox, such as rebranding an AI agent's email identity or updating the sender name shown in email clients. Prefer this over recreating the inbox when only the display name needs to change.
Side effects
- inbox_id not found returns 404
- missing or invalid Authorization header returns 401
- missing required display_name field returns 422 validation error
- malformed inbox_id path parameter returns 400
