Use this endpoint when you need to permanently remove an AI agent email inbox from AgentMail and no longer require access to its messages or threads. Prefer this over archiving or disabling when the inbox is completely obsolete and cleanup is needed.
Side effects
- Inbox ID not found — 404 error if the specified inbox_id does not exist
- Unauthorized — 401 error if the Bearer token is missing or invalid
- Inbox already deleted — attempting to delete a non-existent inbox returns an error
- Permission denied — 403 if the authenticated user does not own the inbox
