Use this endpoint after creating or registering a custom domain under an AgentMail pod and completing DNS configuration, when you need to trigger the verification step to activate the domain for sending and receiving agent emails. Prefer this over general domain lookup endpoints when working specifically within the AgentMail ecosystem.
Side effects
- Domain DNS records not yet propagated — verification fails with unverified status
- Invalid pod_id returns 404 not found
- Invalid or unregistered domain_id returns 404 not found
- Missing or invalid Authorization Bearer token returns 401 unauthorized
- Domain already verified may return idempotent success or a no-op response
