Use this endpoint when you need real-time Amazon product search results with rich filtering options (brand, category, price, Prime, sort order) across multiple international Amazon marketplaces. Prefer this over generic web search when you specifically need Amazon listings, pricing, and product metadata. Use the GTIN-to-ASIN endpoint instead if you have a barcode/EAN/UPC and need to resolve it to an Amazon product.
Side effects
- Missing required 'query' parameter returns a 400 validation error
- Invalid country code returns a 400 error
- Unsupported country/delivery_country combination returns a 400 error
- Page number beyond available results returns empty product array
- Rate limiting or quota exhaustion returns a 402 or 429 error
- Query returns zero results if too specific or misspelled
