Use this endpoint when you need real-time eBay product search results with rich listing metadata including seller reputation, pricing, shipping, and condition. Prefer this over Amazon or Walmart search endpoints when the user specifically wants eBay marketplace data, auction listings, or wants to research sold/completed prices for secondhand goods. It supports 20+ international eBay domains, making it ideal for cross-market price comparisons.
Side effects
- Missing required 'query' parameter returns a 400 validation error
- Invalid domain value returns an error; only supported eBay marketplace codes are accepted
- Requesting sold/completed listings without a valid eBay session cookie may return incomplete seller data (seller_name, seller_feedback_count, seller_feedback_percentage will be null)
- Expired or wrong-marketplace eBay cookie returns a 503 error prompting cookie replacement
- Page number outside 1-100 range is rejected
- No results found for very specific or misspelled queries returns an empty products array
- Rate limiting or quota exhaustion may return a 402 or 429 response

Paste the cookie header from a browser signed in to eBay, e.g. `name=value; name2=value2`. It must belong to the same marketplace as `domain`. If it stops working, because it expired, was signed out elsewhere, or belongs to another marketplace, the request returns 503 telling you to replace it rather than silently falling back.
