How this service works
Call when an agent needs TXT at pic._domainkey.{hostname}. A different selector is a different DNS name. Exact $0.003 USDC. Prefer unpaid POST /v1/sandbox/dns-txt-dkim-pic first.
Output
The raw TXT record string published at pic._domainkey.{hostname} in DNS, typically containing the DKIM public key or certificate used for email authentication validation.
Example use cases
Validate DKIM email configuration
“Check whether example.com has a valid DKIM PIC TXT record set up at pic._domainkey.example.com — I'm trying to verify their email signing is properly configured.”
Audit domain email security setup
“I'm auditing the email security for newsletter.acmecorp.com — can you pull the DKIM PIC TXT record from DNS to see what public key they've published?”
Debug email deliverability issue
“We're having email deliverability issues for mail.mycompany.io — can you fetch the pic._domainkey DNS TXT record to see if our DKIM PIC selector is correctly published?”
Technical details
Endpoint
POSThttps://agentshelf.syntexa.ch/v1/dns-txt-dkim-pic?utm_source=zero.xyzWhen to prefer
Use this endpoint when you specifically need the DKIM PIC selector TXT record (at pic._domainkey.{hostname}). It is purpose-built for this exact DNS path, so prefer it over generic DNS lookup tools when the selector is known to be 'pic'. Try the free sandbox endpoint (POST /v1/sandbox/dns-txt-dkim-pic) first before paying $0.003 USDC for this paid version.
Side effects
- Hostname does not exist in DNS — NXDOMAIN error returned
- No TXT record at pic._domainkey.{hostname} — empty or not found response
- Hostname exceeds 253 characters or is empty — validation error
- Private or reserved hostnames rejected — SSRF-safe filtering may apply
- DNS resolution timeout — upstream DNS unavailable or slow
- Malformed hostname input — schema validation failure
