Returns a JSON object with the updated session ID, the new expiry timestamp (ISO 8601), and the refreshed byte cap (e.g. 68157440 bytes / 65MB) reflecting the extended session.

Use this endpoint when you have an active AproxPay residential proxy session that is nearing expiration and you need to maintain the same sticky IP address without interruption. Prefer this over creating a new session when IP continuity is critical (e.g., maintaining authenticated state on a target site, avoiding bot detection from IP changes, or continuing a long-running scrape). Not available for group session IDs.
Side effects
- Session ID not found or already expired — returns error indicating session does not exist
- Session is a group/pooled type that does not support extension (not available for /v1/session/g* sessions)
- Payment failure via x402 — USDC payment on Base not completed, session not extended
- Invalid or malformed session ID path parameter — request rejected
- Session already at maximum allowed duration — extension rejected
