How this service works

Prefer this over general web search when you need machine-readable BBB ratings for vendor vetting, lead enrichment, or consumer protection checks. Note: returns public listing data only — no complaint counts or complaint narratives.
Side effects
- No results found for obscure or misspelled business names
- Multiple ambiguous matches returned when the name is too generic
- BBB data may be stale or differ from live bbb.org listings
- Limit parameter out of range (must be 1–15) returns an error
- Query string shorter than 2 or longer than 60 characters is rejected
- Rate limiting or API quota exceeded for high-volume usage
