Returns a paginated list of internal transactions associated with the specified address on the given chain. Each entry includes the call type (call, delegatecall, etc.), from and to addresses, value transferred, gas used, block number, transaction hash, and index. Supports cursor-based pagination via index, block_number, transaction_index, and items_count parameters.

Use this endpoint when you need to inspect internal (sub-call) transactions for a specific address on any EVM-compatible chain indexed by Blockscout, rather than top-level transactions. Prefer this over general transaction endpoints when investigating contract-to-contract interactions, tracing DeFi execution flows, or auditing value transfers that don't appear as top-level txs. It is especially useful for multi-chain analysis since the chain_id parameter allows querying across many Blockscout-indexed networks.
Side effects
- Invalid address hash format returns a 400 or empty result
- Unknown or unsupported chain_id returns a 404 or error
- Pagination parameters out of range return an empty items array
- Address with no internal transactions returns an empty list
