One read returns the top names by 20-day average dollar volume in every S&P 500 sector, each scored: opportunity 0-100 plus board percentile, entry state (READY / SETUP / WAIT / CHASE / FALLING), hold strength, leadership flag, and the dollar-volume figure that ranked it. High-liquidity names only, no illiquid tail. Refreshed ~5 min in market hours. Research, not advice.

Use this endpoint when you need a broad, cross-sector view of the most liquid S&P 500 stocks and their current trading setup quality in a single call. Prefer this over the single-name score endpoint when you want to screen the entire liquid universe at once, and over the sector drill-down when you want top names across all sectors rather than every name in one sector. Best for portfolio-level screening of tradeable mega-caps.
Side effects
- Payment not provided or invalid x402 payment header — returns 402 Payment Required
- Market closed outside regular trading hours — data may be stale or endpoint may return cached last-session values
- Network timeout during high-traffic market open periods
- Malformed request beyond the expected GET with no required query params — returns 400
