It is especially useful for agents operating in sandboxed environments that lack raw socket access, or when you want a neutral third-party (Google DNS) resolution rather than your local ISP's resolver. Not suited for bulk DNS lookups, AAAA/IPv6 records, MX or TXT record queries, or DNSSEC validation.
Side effects
