Prefer this over raw DNS resolvers when you want pre-interpreted issue flags and human-readable verdicts rather than raw wire-format records.
Side effects
- Domain does not exist — dns_status returns NXDOMAIN and exists is false
- Invalid domain input — malformed hostname may cause a bad request or empty response
- HTTPS check timeout — reachable may be false if the server is slow or blocking
- Resolver unavailable — upstream DNS failure may yield partial or empty results
- Rate limiting — repeated calls without payment may be throttled
