Side effects
- Unsupported currency pair not published by ECB (e.g. exotic or non-ECB-tracked currencies) returns an error or empty result
- Date falls on a weekend or public holiday when ECB does not publish rates — may return the last available rate or an error
- Invalid ISO 4217 currency codes return a validation error
- Future dates are not supported
- Malformed date format returns a schema validation error
