It is especially suitable for agents monitoring seismic activity near specific coordinates, building earthquake alert systems, or providing situational awareness after a seismic event. Prefer it over static datasets when recency (last N hours) is important.
Side effects
- Invalid latitude/longitude values outside WGS-84 range return a 400 error
- radiusKm outside 1–20000 range returns a validation error
- hours outside 1–168 range returns a validation error
- minMagnitude outside -1 to 10 range returns a validation error
- No earthquakes matching the criteria returns an empty list
