Use this endpoint when you need structured, fine-grained descriptive metadata (genre, theme, mood, audience) for a specific media work or franchise already indexed in the Gapup content catalog. It is preferable over generic NLP classifiers when you have a catalog entity ID and need consistent, curated tag vocabularies aligned with the Gapup media layer. Use the async mode for large or complex entities to avoid timeouts.
Side effects
- Invalid or unknown entity_id returns an error or empty tag set
- Unsupported entity_type value causes a validation error
- Entity exists in catalog but has insufficient data for enrichment, returning partial tags
- Network or service timeout when not using async mode, especially for large franchises
- Payment failure via x402 protocol prevents call from completing
