Use this endpoint when you need a historical time series of electricity prices for trend analysis, backtesting, or charting — up to 31 days of data per call. Prefer /v1/latest or /v1/brief when you only need the current or most recent price snapshot. This endpoint is the right choice when temporal depth matters more than recency.
Side effects
- Invalid or unsupported zone ID returns an error — use /v1/zones to list valid zone IDs
- Date range exceeding 31 days is rejected or truncated
- start/end timestamps provided in wrong format (non-Unix seconds) cause parsing errors
- Payment failure (x402) if USDC not supplied correctly
- Empty result if no data exists for the specified window
- limit value above 5000 is capped or rejected
