Use this endpoint after submitting a research query to the Caesar Research Agent submit endpoint and receiving a research_id. This is the polling/retrieval counterpart to the submission endpoint, specifically designed to fetch async research outputs from Heurist's Caesar AI. Prefer this when you need to check on or retrieve the result of a long-running research task rather than initiating a new one.

- Invalid or unknown research_id returns an error or empty result
- Research is still queued or in progress — status returned is 'queued' or 'researching' with no result yet
- Research failed — status is 'failed' with no usable result
- Malformed research_id string causes request rejection
