Choose this endpoint when you need both the search ranking signal and the actual page content in one call — it saves two round trips (search + fetch). Ideal for research tasks where you want to read the top Google results rather than just see URLs. Prefer over a plain URL fetcher when you don't know which URLs to fetch, or over a raw search API when you need page content not just metadata.
Side effects
- Search query missing or exceeds 300 characters → validation error
- Serper API unavailable → search step fails entirely with no results
- Individual result pages that block scraping → partial results returned with failed status for those sources
- SSRF-blocked URLs (private IPs, internal hosts) → those pages skipped
- n parameter outside 1-5 range → validation error or clamped to default of 3
