Choose this endpoint when you need to extract contact data from Japanese or bilingual business card images (front and/or back) and want structured JSON or vCard output with field provenance and quality metadata. It is optimized for Japanese-language meishi including kanji, furigana, and mixed-script layouts. Do not use this endpoint for company verification, invoice validation, or corporate number lookup — those are handled by sibling endpoints on the same platform.
Side effects
- Low image quality or blurry photos result in low quality score and missing or inaccurate fields
- Unsupported file format returns an error (only Base64, HTTPS URLs, PDF, HEIF, TIFF accepted)
- Handwritten or non-standard card layouts may produce incomplete extraction
- Image URL not publicly accessible returns a fetch/download error
