How this service works
This-session snapshot only — no watch, no cursor. Use when you will not come back. Required by type: url/rss/x402 need url; price needs coin plus above, below, or move_pct_24h; edgar needs ticker or cik. 8-K items are decoded, Form 4 trades parsed, and x402 probes validate the unpaid 402 challenge without sending payment. If the job spans runs, create_watch instead and persist watch_id + key.

Ideal for one-time checks, ad-hoc queries, or when you want to inspect current data before deciding whether to set up ongoing monitoring via POST /watches. Especially valuable for SEC EDGAR data because it automatically decodes 8-K item codes and parses Form 4 insider trades into structured, human-readable summaries.
Side effects
- Invalid or unreachable URL returns an error or empty result
- Unknown CoinGecko coin ID returns a lookup failure
- Invalid SEC ticker or CIK returns no filings found
- Missing required 'type' query parameter causes a 400-level error
- Payment not provided or insufficient USDC causes a 402 Payment Required response
- RSS feed URL that is malformed or not a valid feed returns parse error
