Output
Returns the DNS response from Cloudflare and Google queried separately and uncached for the requested name and record type, including response codes (e.g. NOERROR, SERVFAIL, NXDOMAIN) from each resolver and the actual records returned. Differences in response codes are flagged as warnings; differences in record data are highlighted for inspection.

Use this endpoint when you need to compare DNS resolution between two major public resolvers (Cloudflare and Google) for a specific name and record type — especially when debugging propagation delays, DNSSEC validation failures, or resolver-specific behavior. Prefer this over single-resolver DNS lookups when you suspect the answer differs between providers. Not suitable for bulk zone analysis or checking against private/internal resolvers.
Side effects
- Invalid or malformed domain name returns a 400-level error
- Unsupported record type outside the allowed enum returns a validation error
- Both resolvers return SERVFAIL if the domain or zone is genuinely broken
- Network timeout reaching either upstream resolver may cause partial results
- Very long domain names exceeding 1024 characters are rejected
