Use this endpoint when you need a detailed, per-coin technical signal with multi-timeframe breakdown and an AI trade idea for a specific cryptocurrency. Prefer this over the market scan endpoint (which covers 50 coins at once at $0.02) when you only need one or a few coins and want the full signal detail. Prefer this over the sentiment endpoint when you need actionable technical indicators (RSI, MACD, EMA) rather than just market mood.
Side effects
- Unsupported coin ticker returns 404 or error — use GET /v1/coins to check valid tickers first
- Stale data if called after stale_after timestamp — check data_age_seconds in response
- Payment failure if USDC balance or x402 wallet is insufficient — returns 402
- Malformed coin parameter (violates ^[A-Za-z0-9-]{1,40}$ pattern) returns 400 validation error
- Network or upstream data provider outage may return 503 with no signal data
