How this service works
Pre-payment check for an x402 resource URL: allow, warn or block with coded reasons. Built from a daily index of the CDP Bazaar catalog, unpaid 402-quote checks and Lumi's own on-chain test purchases on Base, the XRP Ledger and Stellar. Optional payTo and amount inputs catch address or price mismatches. A free signed version, Lumi Check, is at /v1/check. Observations, not a guarantee.
Output
A JSON object with a verdict field ('allow', 'warn', or 'block'), a confidence level, a list of reason objects (each with a code, detail, and severity), the query echoed back, payment metadata, an as_of timestamp, and a stale_after time indicating when the data expires. Also includes a next_steps object with links for further lookup.

Use this endpoint whenever an AI agent is about to pay an x402 URL it has not previously used or verified, especially when the payTo address or quoted price is unknown. It is the only service that cross-references the CDP Bazaar index and performs live probe checks specifically for x402 URLs, making it uniquely suited for pre-payment safety screening in agentic payment flows.
Side effects
- Bad or missing URL input — not charged, returns error
- payTo address format mismatch — returns warn with reason code
- Stale index data — confidence may be 'low' with older as_of timestamp
- Unknown URL not yet indexed — may return low-confidence warn rather than definitive verdict
