• Invalid category string returns an error or empty result
• Bounding box crossing the antimeridian is explicitly unsupported and will be rejected
• Days value outside 1–365 range returns a validation error
• Limit value outside 1–50 range returns a validation error
• NASA EONET upstream unavailability causes a 502 or timeout
• No matching events returns an empty list rather than an error
