Use this endpoint when you have an external episode identifier from a major podcast platform or RSS feed and need to map it to a Particle Pro episode record — especially for cross-platform episode resolution, batch lookups of up to 100 episodes at once, or when integrating with Apple Podcasts, YouTube, or RSS-based tooling. Prefer this over generic podcast search when you have a precise identifier rather than a keyword query.
Side effects
- Unrecognized platform slug returns an error — only supported platforms (apple, itunes, youtube, guid, podcastindex, megaphone, omny, acast, art19) are accepted
- Identifier not found in Particle's index returns an empty or null match for that entry
- Exceeding 100 identifiers per call results in an error
- Using 'rss' as the platform is explicitly not accepted since feed URLs identify shows, not episodes
- Malformed YouTube URL may fail to parse the video ID
- Payment failure (x402 protocol) if USDC balance is insufficient
