How this service works
Crypto funding rate API (perpetual futures). Current perp funding rate for one asset in one small answer: cross-venue median funding as 8h % and APR, OI-weighted APR, the lowest and highest venue, spread, cheapest venue to be long or short and a positioning read, from Hyperliquid, dYdX v4, Paradex and Aevo. Built for agents that poll funding often; per-venue rows and open interest are on /v1/lite. Fail-closed: failed venues are listed, never estimated. Not financial advice.

A JSON object containing: the asset symbol, cross-venue median 8h funding % and APR, OI-weighted APR, the venue with minimum and maximum funding rate (with their APRs), the cheapest venue to be long and short, cross-venue spread in APR %, a positioning signal (e.g. long_bias), a human-readable positioning note, confidence level, number of venues successfully queried, list of any failed venues, and a timestamp.

Choose this endpoint when you need a single aggregated, cross-venue funding rate answer for a perpetual futures asset without having to query Hyperliquid, dYdX v4, Paradex, and Aevo individually. It is ideal for agents that poll funding rates frequently and need fail-closed reliability (failed venues are flagged, never estimated). Prefer this over raw venue APIs when you want OI-weighted APR, venue comparison, cheapest long/short venue, and a positioning read in one call.
Side effects
- Missing or invalid symbol parameter returns an error — use base ticker like BTC, ETH, SOL
- If one or more venues fail to respond, they are listed in sources_failed and excluded from aggregation rather than estimated
- If all venues fail, no funding data is returned and confidence will be low
- Unsupported or delisted asset tickers may return no data
- Rate limiting or payment failure (x402) may block the request
