Use this endpoint when you need programmatic access to X/Twitter following lists without the official Twitter API, especially for paginated traversal of large following lists. Prefer this over scraping when you need structured JSON output and are willing to pay per call via x402.
Side effects
- Invalid or nonexistent X handle returns an error or empty result
- Rate limiting or payment failure (402) if USDC balance is insufficient
- Cursor mismatch or stale cursor causing pagination errors
- Private/protected accounts may return no following data
- Handle with special characters rejected by alphanumeric-only pattern validation
