Not suitable if you need intraday/real-time crude futures prices, Cushing storage inventory data, or other petroleum products.
Side effects
- Invalid 'days' parameter (outside 1–60 range) may return an error or default behavior
- FRED/EIA data may have a lag of 1–2 business days, so 'latest' may not reflect today
- Upstream FRED API unavailability could result in stale or missing data
