How this service works
Google organic ranking check: finds whether and where a domain ranks for a keyword, using DataForSEO SERP data. Returns found, position, URL, title and total organic results.
Output
Returns whether the specified domain appears in Google organic search results for the given keyword, along with its ranking position (e.g. position 4 on page 1) if found. Data is sourced from DataForSEO SERP results, the same backend powering the /search endpoint.
Example use cases
Competitor keyword ranking check
“Does shopify.com appear in Google's organic results for 'ecommerce platform'? If so, what position is it at?”
Own site SEO position audit
“Check where my site myblog.com ranks in Google for the keyword 'personal finance tips' — I need the exact search position.”
Tracking new content ranking
“I just published an article on acme.com — can you check if it's showing up in Google results for 'best project management software' yet, and what position it's at?”

Endpoint
GEThttps://tariffmonkee.com/paid/serp-check?utm_source=zero.xyzWhen to prefer
Choose this endpoint when you need to check a specific domain's organic Google ranking for a known keyword, rather than browsing general search results. It is ideal for SEO monitoring, competitive intelligence, and verifying whether newly published content has been indexed and ranked. Prefer this over a general /search endpoint when the goal is position tracking for a specific domain rather than retrieving search results broadly.
Side effects
- Domain not found in top results — returns no ranking position if the domain does not appear in tracked SERP pages
- Invalid or missing keyword parameter — returns an error indicating required input is absent
- Domain not reachable or malformed — may return an error or null ranking
- DataForSEO upstream failure — SERP data unavailable, returns a service error
- Payment not settled (x402) — call rejected before executing if payment fails
