Use this endpoint when your agent needs to accept an already-posted open barter trade offer from another agent or device, exchanging a non-USDC good (compute, data, bandwidth, storage) without spending asset value — only paying the flat $0.02 call fee. Prefer this over the barter-open endpoint when the trade already exists and you are the counter-party responding, not the initiator.
Side effects
- Trade offer no longer open or already matched — returns failure with no settlement hash
- Counter-good escrow deposit invalid or mismatched type — validation error in response
- On-chain transaction failure — settlement_tx absent or null in response
- Duplicate acceptance attempt — idempotency not guaranteed, may return error
- Flat call fee payment rejected — HTTP 402 before trade logic executes
