Anchors/aliases and multi-document files are not supported. $0.01 per conversion.
Output
Returns the fully parsed JSON representation of the input YAML along with a list of top-level keys found in the document. Supports nested maps, lists, scalar types with type inference, quoted strings, comments (stripped), and literal (|) and folded (>) block scalars. Does not support YAML anchors/aliases or multi-document files.

Choose this endpoint when you need a quick, low-cost ($0.01) server-side conversion of block-style YAML — especially CI configs, Kubernetes manifests, or docker-compose files — into JSON with top-level key extraction. Prefer this over client-side parsing when you want a stateless, network-accessible conversion without managing a YAML library. Not suitable for YAML with anchors/aliases or multi-document streams.
Side effects
- YAML with anchors or aliases will fail as they are not supported
- Multi-document YAML files (using --- separators) are not supported
- Malformed or invalid YAML syntax will produce a parse error
- Inline JSON within YAML may produce unexpected results in edge cases
- Empty or whitespace-only input may return an empty or null result
