Output
Returns a JSON payload with a list of USDT perpetual symbols flagged for extreme or divergent 8h funding rates across Bybit, OKX, and Hyperliquid. Each symbol entry includes the 8h funding rate, raw rate, next funding time, and funding interval per venue, along with 30-day mean, standard deviation, and z-score for statistical context. Also includes open interest in USD per venue, total OI, spread between highest and lowest venue rates, the extreme venue, and which venues triggered the flag. Top-level metadata includes universe size, number matched, coverage statistics, data age in seconds, and staleness indicator.

Use this endpoint when you need a cross-exchange funding rate anomaly scan across many USDT perps simultaneously, with statistical z-score context relative to each symbol's 30-day history. Prefer this over single-symbol funding rate lookups when the goal is to discover which tokens currently have the most extreme or divergent funding conditions. Ideal for funding arbitrage research, market sentiment analysis, and automated alerts when funding costs spike abnormally.
Side effects
- Data staleness: if source exchanges are slow, `stale: true` is returned with `age_s` indicating how old the snapshot is
- No symbols returned: if filter thresholds (min OI, z-score) are too strict, `matched` may be 0
- Payment failure: x402 payment not accepted if wallet has insufficient USDC or unsupported chain
- Partial venue coverage: some symbols may be missing data for one or more venues if exchange feed is unavailable
- Rate or network timeout: if the endpoint takes too long, agent should retry
