Prefer it over simpler search APIs when you need rich filtering (price range, store, condition, sale status, free shipping/returns), pagination across large result sets, or when you want to chain filter refinements using the returned shoprs parameters to progressively narrow results.
Side effects
- Missing required 'q' parameter returns a 400 validation error
- Invalid country or language code may return empty results or an error
- Price range with min_price greater than max_price may return zero results
- Unsupported store name in 'stores' filter may silently return no results
- Exceeding page limit (>100) returns a validation error
- Rate limit or quota exhaustion returns a 402 or 429 error
- Query returning no Google Shopping matches yields an empty product array
