How this service works
Keep an artifact the wallet owns for another 30 days, counted from its current expiry or from now, whichever is later. No body. Costs the upload price of everything the artifact holds ($0.01 up to 10 MiB, $0.05 up to 100 MiB, $0.50 up to 1 GiB). Returns the artifact with its new expires_at. No signup: a wallet's first payment creates its account and a default project; the same wallet later reaches the same files.
Output
Returns the full artifact object with its updated expires_at timestamp reflecting the new 30-day extension from the later of the current expiry or now, along with title, description, tags, metadata, and status.

Use this endpoint when you need to extend the lifetime of an existing artifact before or after it expires, without uploading new content. Prefer this over re-uploading when the artifact's content hasn't changed and you simply want to push the expiry date forward. It is cheaper than re-uploading since it reuses existing stored bytes and charges only the upload-equivalent price tier based on artifact size.
Side effects
- Artifact not found — 404 if the artifact_id does not exist or does not belong to the paying wallet
- Insufficient USDC balance — payment fails if the wallet cannot cover the size-based extension fee ($0.01 up to 10 MiB, $0.05 up to 100 MiB, $0.50 up to 1 GiB)
- Already expired artifact — may fail if artifact has already been purged beyond recovery
- Invalid artifact_id format — 400 if the path parameter is malformed
- Payment gateway error — x402 payment protocol failure
