How this service works
Look up an artifact by the external_key it was stored under (your own name for it, slashes allowed), in one of the wallet's projects. max_age_seconds turns an artifact older than that into a 404, for caching. Returns the artifact. Costs $0.005 in USDC. No signup: a wallet's first payment creates its account and a default project; the same wallet later reaches the same files.
Output
Returns the artifact object including its title, description, tags, metadata, status, expiry date, and latest version details. If the artifact is older than max_age_seconds, a 404 is returned instead.

Use this endpoint when you have your own human-readable or path-like name for an artifact and want to retrieve it without knowing its internal artifact ID. Ideal for workflows where artifacts are stored under semantic keys (like 'reports/q1' or 'configs/prod') and need to be fetched by name. The max_age_seconds parameter makes this especially useful for cache-like patterns where stale artifacts should be rejected. Prefer this over the ID-based artifact lookup when the external key is the natural identifier in your workflow.
Side effects
- 404 returned if external_key does not exist in the specified project
- 404 returned if artifact exists but is older than max_age_seconds
