Prefer this over generic DeFi volume endpoints when the query is specifically about options/derivatives premium volume rather than spot DEX or lending activity.
Side effects
- Invalid or unrecognized chain name returns an error or empty results
- Limit parameter out of range (below 1 or above 50) causes a validation error
- Upstream data provider outage may return stale or missing volume figures
