Prefer this over name-search endpoints when you already have the LEI and need to resolve it to structured entity data.
Side effects
- Invalid LEI format (not matching 18 alphanumeric + 2 digit pattern) returns a validation error
- LEI not found in GLEIF registry returns an empty normalized result
- Network or upstream GLEIF API unavailability may cause retrieval failure
- Stale or cached data if cache age approaches maximum cache seconds (60s)
