How this service works
Which companies just received a federal subaward — and which are getting their FIRST one? Bulk feed over USAspending subawards (the File F prime→sub cascade), newest-first by action date: sub-recipient, prime, agency, amount (banded), NAICS, and date. new_only isolates first-time subawardees (no prime award on record) — the new-to-govcon growth signal. Flat rows, cursor-paginated up to 1000/page, filterable by state, NAICS, agency, minimum amount, or since. Observational public records as filed.

Flat rows of subaward records (up to 1000 per page), each containing sub-recipient name, prime awardee, awarding agency, banded subaward amount, NAICS code, and action date, plus a next_cursor for pagination and a flag indicating whether the sub-recipient is a first-time subawardee with no prior prime award on record.

Choose this endpoint when you need bulk, paginated access to federal subaward data — especially to identify first-time subawardees or new entrants to government contracting. It is purpose-built for the prime-to-sub cascade (File F data) and supports filtering by state, NAICS, agency, amount, and date in a single flat-row format. Prefer this over prime award feeds when your focus is downstream subcontract flow rather than top-level awards, and over point-lookup endpoints when you need systematic, scrollable coverage of recent activity.
Side effects
- Invalid or expired cursor returns a 400 error or empty result set
- Unsupported NAICS prefix format returns no results or validation error
- Overly broad filters with no results return an empty rows array
- Since date in wrong format (not YYYY-MM-DD) causes a 400 parse error
- min_amount as non-integer causes schema validation failure
- Rate limiting or payment issues (x402) return a 402 Payment Required response
- Very recent data may not yet be reflected due to USAspending filing lag
