Output: JSON summary (sanctions hits, LEI found/status, VAT valid), sanctions matches across OFAC SDN, EU and UK lists, GLEIF entity record with parents, VIES VAT result; a down VIES/GLEIF marks only that part. Returns a JSON object with a summary section (sanctions hits boolean, LEI found/status, VAT valid), detailed sanctions matches from OFAC SDN, EU, and UK lists, a GLEIF entity record including legal name, jurisdiction, legal address, entity status, legal form, parent entities, and a VIES VAT validation result. Partial results are returned if VIES or GLEIF is temporarily unavailable, with a note indicating which component was down. Includes attribution and a disclaimer that this is not a legal determination.

Use this endpoint when an agent needs a single aggregated KYB check covering sanctions (OFAC, EU, UK), LEI registry, and EU VAT validation in one call rather than querying each source separately. It is especially appropriate before approving payments, onboarding new vendors, or invoicing counterparties where regulatory compliance is required. Prefer it over standalone OFAC-only or GLEIF-only lookups when you need a holistic compliance snapshot of a legal entity.
Side effects
- VIES service down — sanctions and LEI checks still returned, VAT result marked unavailable
- GLEIF service down — sanctions checks still returned, LEI result marked unavailable
- Name not found in any registry — returns empty matches arrays with found: false
- Invalid LEI format — request rejected with schema validation error
- Missing required 'name' parameter — returns 400 error
