How this service works
Screen a person, company, vessel or crypto address against US Treasury OFAC sanctions lists (SDN and Consolidated): fuzzy name matching across names and aliases (word order, accents, suffixes, typos), exact crypto address matching. Each match: score, OFAC ID, programs, aliases, addresses, DOB, nationality. Refreshed every 12 hours. For KYC, payments and vendor checks. $0.005 USDC per call.
Output
A JSON object with a boolean 'clear' flag, a list of fuzzy-matched sanctions entries (each with name, match score, list source, aliases, addresses, and entity type), the count of matches, which OFAC lists were checked and when they were loaded, a disclaimer advising confirmation via official OFAC search, and suggested next API calls for deeper due diligence.

Side effects
- Name too short (under 2 characters) returns validation error
- min_score set below 50 rejected by schema
- Fuzzy matching may return false positives requiring manual OFAC confirmation
- Crypto address exact-match only — typos or checksummed variants may not match
- Response may be stale if OFAC list has not been refreshed recently (check loaded_at)
