How this service works
Watchdog: 30 days of signed webhook alerts for one x402 endpoint. Settled keeps probing it and POSTs an EIP-191-signed JSON alert to your webhook whenever its status, payability, price or payTo changes (checked every 15 minutes), plus one notice at expiry. Body: {url, webhook}. Verify any alert at /v1/verify.
Output
Returns a JSON object with a watch_id, a status field ('active'), a baseline snapshot of the endpoint's current status/price/payability, links to poll or manage the watch, and an expires_at timestamp 30 days out. Settled then probes the endpoint every 15 minutes and POSTs EIP-191-signed JSON alerts to the provided webhook on any detected change, plus a final notice at expiry.

Use this endpoint when you need continuous, automated change detection on a specific x402 endpoint over 30 days — not just a one-time liveness check. Prefer this over the single-probe check endpoint when you need webhook-driven alerts for price drift, payTo address changes, or availability degradation without polling yourself. Best suited for agent workflows that must react to payment-API changes in near-real-time.
Side effects
- Invalid or non-x402 URL returns an error — the target must be a valid https x402 endpoint
- Non-https webhook URL rejected — both url and webhook must use https
- Payment failure ($1 USDC required) prevents watch creation
- Target endpoint unreachable at registration time may still create a watch but baseline status will reflect unreachable
- Webhook delivery failures on the receiver side are the caller's responsibility — Settled does not retry indefinitely
