How this service works
Crypto smart money scan API (Hyperliquid). Market-wide smart-money scan over every Hyperliquid perp held by the top-120 30-day-PnL cohort: the cohort gross long/short book and net exposure, and ranked lists of the coins it is most net long, most net short and most one-sided on (by trader count), plus the biggest 24h net buying and selling by notional, each with bias, trader counts, net notional and flows. limit 1-25 rows per list, min_traders 2-50 (default 3). Fail-closed. Not financial advice.
Output
A JSON object containing cohort metadata (size, coverage, refresh time), aggregate book stats (net USD, equity, gross long/short), and three ranked lists of perpetual coins: most-net-long, most-net-short, and most-one-sided — each entry including the coin symbol, trader counts on each side, net notional USD, long share percentage, bias label, and 1h/24h flow data where available. Also includes a disclaimer and a confidence rating.

Choose this endpoint when you need a real-time ranked view of what a curated cohort of top Hyperliquid perpetuals traders are positioned in, including directional bias and notional size. It is distinct from general crypto price feeds or sentiment APIs because it reflects actual on-chain perp positions of identified smart-money accounts, not social sentiment or order book data. Prefer it over generic market data APIs when the question is specifically about smart-money positioning or crowded trades on Hyperliquid.
Side effects
- Flow history fields (flow_1h_net_usd, flow_24h_net_usd) return null for the first 24 hours after launch — expected behavior, not an error
- min_traders outside 2-50 range or limit outside 1-25 may return a validation error
- Payment failure via x402 returns HTTP 402 with no data
- Stale snapshot if cohort refresh is delayed — check cohort_refreshed_at timestamp
- Empty coin lists if the cohort has no open positions at snapshot time
