Choose this endpoint when you specifically need onchain DEX-sourced price data for tokens on the HyperEVM network, rather than centralized exchange prices. It is ideal when a token is only traded on DEXes, when you need reserve or liquidity data, or when you want price data tied directly to a smart contract address. Prefer it over CoinGecko's standard token endpoints when the token may not have a CoinGecko coin ID but does have a known contract address on HyperEVM.
Side effects
- Invalid or unrecognized contract address returns empty or null price data
- Token not listed on any HyperEVM DEX returns no results
- Inactive token with no recent trades may return stale or missing data (unless include_inactive_source is enabled)
- Payment not received (x402 protocol failure) results in 402 error blocking response
- Rate limiting or API key issues return 429 or 401 errors
